Cryptocurrency: What you need to know about the Blockchain tech revolutionizing global finance

On January 24, 2018 the Robert Bosch Fellowship Alumni Association (RBFAA) sponsored an event titled “Cryptocurrency: What you need to know about the Blockchain tech revolutionizing global finance” at the iac Berlin.

The featured speaker was Rhian Lewis, a former journalist turned software developer, who advises companies on blockchain tech and software. The event began in an interview format hosted by Bosch XXXII alum Rashida Bobb followed by a 30 minute presentation by Lewis on how cryptocurrencies work, the various types including bitcoin as well as how state actors have begun to  adapt cryptocurrencies into their own fiscal and monetary policy strategies.

She went on to hold a Q&A session which focused on security measures in place to regulate cryptocurrencies and the block chain technology from exploitation by purveyors of the black market and how this new asset class is changing transatlantic relations.
