On behalf of the Officers and Directors of the Board of the Robert Bosch Foundation Alumni Association, it is with a heavy heart that we are writing to inform you that the RBFAA 2020 Annual Meeting has been cancelled, which was scheduled to take place from June 4 to 7, 2020, in Pittsburgh.
While this decision was not taken lightly, it should come as no surprise to our membership in light of the international public health crisis surrounding COVID-19. We, like many other groups organizing similar events, cannot predict if we would be in a position to hold a large gathering safely and successfully by June. The next RBFAA annual event will therefore be held in 2021.
On behalf of the Board of the RBFAA, we want to offer our considerable thanks and appreciation to Michelle Fanzo (Bosch XIV) and Philip Bartels (Bosch XXIX), both of whom are based in Pittsburgh, for all of their hard in work in organizing the annual event.
In addition, the RBFAA is currently placing on hold any regional events, for which funding for members has been available, until this public health crisis abates. We hope to restart regional events funding at the appropriate time and to continue the many great events we have had throughout the United States and Europe.
